It is a sad, hard day. Our hearts and prayers are with all those affected by the recent tragedy here in Georgia. I know there are major tragedies all across this planet every day, and we send our thoughts and prayers to you as well.
We live in times of great joy, peace, and pleasure. We walk with a hope and feeling that we are safe, that we are secure, and that our loved ones are all going to be safe. Unfortunately, this is a myth. None of us are safe. Nobody is secure. We all live a life of uncertainty. In a situation like this, you have two choices:
1. Hide. Live in fear that harm is on the way. Struggle to build walls around yourself and those you love, only to realize you cannot keep harm away no matter how hard you try.
2. Live. Live free. Live without fear. I’m not saying don’t be wise, live as safely as you can and protect yourself and family the best you can, but do not let fear paralyze you and keep you from living life.
We do not underestimate nor negate the pain of loss and suffering in times of tragedy. We do however stand up and say, Game On! Bring It! We will not live in fear. We will live in faith that we can enjoy love and life together.
